Remember in September

We will always remember in September.   As an organization based in New York, we would like to share some events related to the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks:

FACES OF GROUND ZERO,  an exhibition at Time Warner Center presenting Joe McNally's life-size portraits of the heros of September 11.

Nozomi walked through the exhibition and was extremely moved by these portraits. "Seeing these life-size portraits really make you realize that they were real people--real heros," she says.  "It's overwhelming but we need to remember them."

Date: August 24-Septemeber 12, 2011. Daily: 10AM-9PM; Sunday: 11AM-7PM

Location: Exhibition on ground and second floors

Another event we recommend is called "The 4th Annual Circle Wind Memorial Concert" , a concert that commemorates the tragedy and the recent 3.11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Date: Saturday, September 10th, 2011 at 7.00pm. Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets are $10 Place: New York Society for Ethical Culture Concert Hall(2 West 64th Street at Central Park West)

The first half of the concert will feature leading Japanese artists from Tohoku (the area most damaged by the earthquake), and the second half of the concert will feature Gregory Singer's Manhattan Symphonie, a New York symphony orchestra led by maestro Gregory Singer. Some of these Japanese artists performed for our charity concert in March, Stand With Japan
Nozomi will be the MC for the event!
